(This is one of those e-mails that circles the Internet endlessly…or so it seems. We here in the Lair of Silliness have encountered different versions of it for years. That doesn’t stop us from enjoying them, though. We’re dreading the “you know you grew up in the ’00s when…” e-mails. Enjoy the list, Karate Kid.)

-You wanted to dress like the Hulk at Halloween.
-You believed that “By the Power of Greyskull,” you HAD the POWER.
-You thought partying “like it’s 1999″ seemed sooo far away.
-You knew that Transformers were more than meets the eye.
-You wanted to be on Star Search.
-You remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell off.
-You have worn a Banana Clip, or knew someone who did.
-You owned a doll with “Xavier Roberts” signed on its butt, or knew someone who did.

IF you can identify with at least half of this list then you, my friend are a child of the 80′s.

Today we have for you a couple of blog posts that include silly lists.

First off, we have the Ten Most Terrifyingly Inspirational [tag]80s Songs[/tag] (complete with videos) from [tag]Cracked.com[/tag]. If you remember the music of the 80s, you may find yourself agreeing with their list, or wondering why they didn’t choose your song.

Then, we have 13 [tag]Halloween Jokes[/tag] from [tag]Enjoying the Ride[/tag]. If you are like most of us here in the Silliness Lair, and your sense of humor sits at about the 3rd grade level, you will love these jokes.

(This bit of silliness was sent to us by Jen, and even though we didn’t know anyone old enough to legally buy alcohol when we were in High School we still think that the rest applies. So, once again this one is silly but a little too close to true.)

10) MTV actually played videos in the 80′s.

9) There were only one kind of Nike tennis shoes (White with a red swoosh), and they didn’t cost $125.

8)A comb in your back pocket is more practical and less painful than a ring through your nose.

7)In the 80′s playing video games actually meant going out to DO something.

6) In the 80′s, when you were out partying, you didn’t have to worry about your Mom calling you on your cell.

5) In the 80s we didn’t have to worry about getting our heads blown off at school -unless you put a whole pack of Pop Rocks in your mouth and drank a coke.

4) Debbie Gibson vs. Britney Spears. New Kids on the Block vs. N Sync. New Edition vs. Hanson. Ok, that one’s a draw.

3) In the early 80′s there were kids in your high school who could BUY ALCOHOL LEGALLY.

2) Feathered hair was easier to care for than dreadlocks.

And the number one reason the 80′s were a cooler time to grow up than the 90′s:
